Modern Christendom is basing their claim to salvation on choosing, accepting and receiving of Jesus--their own works. Religion has many men groping around in the darkness calling darkness light and light darkness. I did not choose, accept, or receive Jesus Christ. Rather, Jehovah dragged me by the hair, kicking and screaming, out of my religion, to the foot of the cross, and showed me what religion did to the Lamb of God. I am so sorry for what my religion did to Jesus Christ that I still beg His mercy often with thanksgiving that he is merciful. The Apostles did not choose and accept Jesus. Jesus chose them and made them acceptable: "Have I not chosen twelve, and one of you is a devil?" Jesus knowingly chose a devil to follow him, who 'went to his own place.' He didn't make that one acceptable. Judas had no more ability to receive Jesus than a bank robber has the ability to seek out a police man. But the police man is always hunting the bank robber, as God leaves the 99 sheep to go hunt for the one lost sheep. (Matthew 7:22-3) "Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?" "And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." (Matt 25:39-43) "And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. Here Jesus tells you explicitly who the devil and his angels are: the religious leaders who teach from the scripture! They claim to teach in His Name. But they hate those whom God has taught and chosen. They claim to heal in His Name. But they wound those who do not bend the knee to their religious authority. They claim to cast out devils in His Name. And they accuse righteous men of being devils for not kneeling to their religious authority. And Jesus will say to them to go into the everlasting fire prepared for them. The religion is the devil and its priests and torch-bearers are the devil's angels. The fire was prepared for this age, so the rising smoke reveals the nature of the whole lump in the furnace. The devil wears a Jesus costume. He has always dressed himself up to impersonate God. Who is wearing religious robes? Who is covering themselves with religious symbols? This is what is called an attack question or a setup. The Pharisees were very good at asking this kind of question when they wanted to trap and kill Jesus. The lust of the flesh is not what Christians think it is. The lust of the flesh is something much deeper than just outward acts against the Decalogue. Tune in, Tokyo. I gather from what I've read in this thread that Michael believes God is redeeming everyone, and saving everyone, because God chose us and not because any of us chose God.
