Read about Mount Ebal and Mount Gerazim. Those are the performance and
penalty clauses of the contract with God.

One mount is blessings for performance of the contract. The other is
curses and destruction for non-performance.

It's called prayer. You should try it some time.

"Pray" means "appeal" or "sue." You should have known that.

Yes, it was enforced. Israel broke the contract, so God sent the pagan
neighbors to carry Israel away into captivity. This was part of the
deal sworn upon the mountains Ebal and Gerazim.

Finally, Israel broke the contract again by crucifying the King that
God sent to them, so God sent the Romans to destroy Jerusalem and
abolish the contract. Then God made a new contract with a new people.
The death of the Testator established the Testament or Covenant.

God's ways are not your prideful ways. He deals with nations as units,
rather than uppity singular men and LeVeyan Satanists with chips on
their shoulders.

I'm not interested in your atheist newsgroup and I'm not subscribed to
it. If you stop cross-posting to alt.bible you won't endure me exposing
your critical ignorance of real facts.
