They would rather do what the bible says after consulting their own 
imagination to interpret what it means. And how convenient it is, say 
they, that the bible means exactly what we say! They conjure Jesus like 
a genie who always grants their wish!

Modern religion is just one endless orgy of confirmation bias and 
Dunning Kreuger syndrome. The bible is wielded as a cudgel rather than a 
witness.
