This is old wives tail nonsense.

The letter J did not invent the "J" sound. The "J" sound was present in
English from most ancient times. It was represented by the letter "I"
until a printer started adding a stylized hook to differentiate the sound.

The letter "W" also didn't exist in early English bibles, so we would
have to childishly assume that there was no "W" sound either. The letter
"W" was invented AFTER the letter "J". So by this logic there was no "W"
sound. But this is nonsense. The "W" sound was represented by the letter
"U" and the couplet "OE", just as the "J" sound was represented by the
letter "I".

In ancient English JEHOVAH was spelled IEHOVA but was prounounced the
same as JEHOVAH. In ancient English JESUS was spelled IESUS but was
pronounced the same as JESUS. The "I" had the same "DZ" sound as modern "J".

The letter J did exist in both Hebrew and Greek. It was the letter JOT.
Jesus even mentioned the letter when he said, "... not one JOT or TITTLE
shall pass from the law ..."

The ancient Greek and ancient Sinaiatic Hebrew used the same alphabet.
Both languages had the "J" sound. This nonsense about the lack of a
letter "J" meaning no "J" sound is just dumb.

The tetragrammaton sounds like JEHOVAH. On that point the JW cult is
correct. A broken clock is right twice per day.
