It is this baptism by the Spirit that saves from death and brings one into eternal life. You have the cart before the horse. The written scripture leads us to the conclusion that we need to believe on the Son. Yet it is the Spirit that actually works this change in the mind of man. By preaching the necessity of water baptism you prove that you do not understand the gospel at all.
