You actually said something correct. What a surprise! But then you go
on to shoot yourself in the foot, as will be seen below.

Abraham represents the faithful who believe. The rich man represents
the Kingdom of Judea. Jesus is telling how the nation of Judea will not
escape the coming judgment. He is not talking about the eternal destiny
of every individual man in the future. You take it out of context and
build a "eternal hell" doctrine out of it but that is not what Jesus
says here.

No doubt you think yourself a scripture expert, but you're not, and you
are totally wrong about many things. Remember that verse about judging
righteous judgment, for your own judgment will come back to haunt you.

"Damned" does not mean what you say. It does not mean roasting in
flames for eternity. That is your idea, not the idea being conveyed by
the scripture.

Your "choice" is a work of the law and has no power to save you.

Salvation is a free gift form God, worked through Jesus Christ on the
cross, and has nothing to do with your "choice."

Jesus used the parable of Lazarus to prophesy the destruction of Judea
for rejecting Him. Their damnation by fire is a reference to the
destruction of the nation and the lasting suffering of the generations
to follow:

"For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they
also come into this place of torment. Abraham saith unto him, They have
Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. And he said, Nay, father
Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. And
he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will
they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead."
