The Judeans who killed Jesus were also anticipating the same scenario
with their anticipated version of the Messiah. They expected a warrior
king to rise up and take dominion and fix the world.

The modern Christian version of this smacks of the Kabbalistic dogma of
"Tikkun Olam." God save us from these nanny-state do-gooders fascists.

What they don't realize is the world is the way it is because God
ordained it this way. The only way we get out of this mess is to love
our neighbor. Until mankind learns that, to love their neighbor right
where they are, the world is not getting "fixed."

Christians make loving your neighbor a legal impossibility by their
political doctrines. They are expanding the division and hate in the
world by preaching a false holiness based on doctrinal purity and works.
This mind poison has turned the world against itself in a thousand
different ways among tens of thousands of different factions.

Their mentality is this: "If you are not part of "our faction" then you
are not truly our "neighbor" thus we don't love you as ourselves." That
is the root of the problem.

The Samaritans were hated by the Jews. Jesus used the parable of the
good Samaritan to demonstrate what it means to love your neighbor as
yourself. He demonstrated that your neighbor is whoever is in need,
regardless of what "group" you choose to identify with.

The vast majority of Christians still have not learned this parable.
They car up like any gang and go to war. Each gang thinks God is on its
side. Nothing new under the sun ...
