The Bible account of the creation IS NOT LITERAL, was never meant to be taken literally, and by applying a literal interpretation to it you are making the word of God of no effect. "For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:" Why mention thrones, dominions, principalities, or powers, unless that is what he created? The trees and animals in the garden of Eden are these, "thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers." Genesis is not a history of the natural sciences! The Bible is not attempting to explain the origin of physical matter. It is explaining the origin of man's consciousness as a social being instead of a primitive savage, a gift from God the Father. Genesis is not about the creation of visible things, and those who interpret it that way are committing idolatry: "For the INVISIBLE things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:" "Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened."
