Bollocks. Paul is not talking about you. He is talking about himself and the Apostles and disciples, at that time, in that place, in those circumstances. He is not proclaiming a universal law. Pharisees love 'standards' and 'programs' and 'rules' and twist scripture to suit such agendas. Paul and the Apostles were made Ambassadors for Christ. 'Apostle' means 'Ambassador' in Greek. An Ambassador speaks for the King of a nation and represents the King of that nation to other nations. Thus Paul was the Apostle or Ambassador to the Nations (Gentiles). Modern Christians claiming this calling for themselves are usurpers. "Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God." Note here Paul says: 1. We are ambassadors (himself and the twelve); 2. We speak in Christ's stead (the King); 3. Reconcile yourselves to the King. It is Paul and the Apostles, the Seventy and the Disciples, who were given this calling and commission, directly from Jesus Christ. Christ himself anointed them and called them to their high and holy office. All of these men bowed before the King in person, face-to-face, and were directly called by the word of his mouth. The church institution has arrogated and usurped this authority to itself, which is the definition of 'anti-christ' or 'in place of christ.' They pretend to have authority that Christ never gave them, to represent Him, which is the devil appearing as an angel of light. Modern Christians claiming that they are Apostles of Jesus is usurpation. It's a nonsense claim. The devil always wears a Jesus costume. In the final days of the New Covenant, no mortal is a ambassador for Christ, for God decreed that none of his people would have any need for anyone to tell them to know the Lord, for he would already live in their hearts with his law written there. If his law is written on their hearts, what need have they of scrolls and books filled with words?
